Ebadah

Ebadah helps Muslims around the world break their doomscrolling habits. Ebadah was built around one Hadith: "The most beloved deeds to Allah are those done consistently, even if they are small." - Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) ﷺ. Rather than making you quit cold turkey, Ebadah helps you fight the urge to scroll gradually. The hadith, and now modern research, shows that small, consistent habit changes outlast going cold turkey almost every time.

HOW APP BLOCKING WORKS

Ebadah lets you choose specific apps to block. To enforce this, Ebadah uses Android's Accessibility service to detect when you open one of your selected apps. If you have earned screen time for that app through an act of worship, such as Salah, Quran, dhikr, or istighfar, the app opens as normal. If you haven't earned screen time, Ebadah shows a popup prompting you to complete an act of worship before continuing. This service only detects which app is currently open, and only for the apps you've chosen to block. It does not read your messages, browsing history, photos, or any other on-screen content, and it is never used to collect personal data.

Download Ebadah today and turn your screen time into worship.
