You try to save the planet on a daily basis with actions such as sorting your waste (plastics, cardboard), having your own composter, using public transportation or even reducing your meat consumption.

But did you know that the use of your mobile phone has a significant impact on the environment, with considerable data transfers over networks, frequent charging of your mobile's battery, and the use of resource-consuming applications, etc.

EcoGnome is your companion who helps you take a further step in your eco-responsibility to save the planet by highlighting the environmental impact of your mobile.

EcoGnome aims to inform you about your ecological impact through your digital uses, to help you evolve by giving you the possibility of setting your own objectives and to advise you via recommendations which will allow you to adapt your uses.

Each month you will plant a virtual tree and your goal will be for it not to die. For this, a monthly consumption threshold is configured and if your monthly consumption exceeds this threshold, the tree begins to die, indicating that your consumption is excessive and impacts the environment. EcoGnome is a companion and guides you but does not impose anything and is not binding. So you are free to define your own threshold. Of course, the objective is that this maximum threshold can be as low as possible.

The application provides you with general information about your consumption such as the carbon footprint, expressed in gCOe. Associated with this value, an eco-performance indicator (as a rating from A to E) allows you to know if your consumption is very environmentally friendly, average or poor. This gCOe value is also measured specifically for network, battery and application consumption, allowing you to use your phone differently to move towards more eco-responsibility.

A progression section allows you to follow your progress over the days and months, with a reminder of the state of your virtual trees, as well as a daily heat map which allows you to easily identify the most eco-friendly days and periods for you. This card allows you to take different usage measures to consume less.

Finally, recommendations for use are available allowing you to discover and possibly apply these good measures to progress.
