Egypt is a country located between northeast Africa and southwest Asia, across the Sinai

Peninsula. It is a Mediterranean country bordered by the Gaza Strip and Israel to the

northeast, the Gulf of Acaba and the Red Sea to the east, Sudan to the south and Libya to

the west. Across the Gulf of Acaba is Jordan, across the Red Sea is Saudi Arabia, and

across the Mediterranean are Greece, Turkey, and Cyprus, although none of them have a

land border with Egypt.
