Eko dydda Biography

Eko Dydda is a gospel musician who is famously known for his unique singing style ‘stagger’ in the gospel hip hop music. He spurt into fame with his first single he did with Holy Dave Niko na Reason and won him awards and fame

Eko Dydda is known to be against tribalism even in his music, and it is the reason why he changed his official name to Eko Dydda which he had twisted as his stage name. He has also named his kids ‘KEEP IT REAL’ and ‘AM BLESSED’ first and second born respectively. Seemingly, he might be the first Kenyan to give his children sentence names.

He ended up in a girls school since school fees were a hustle, but luckily he got a teacher from the girl’s school who gave him the opportunity to learn by paying half his fees that is why he ended up there.

His experience in the girls’ school was quite good; he got to learn a lot. Believe it or not,he was a very shy person before he joined high school. Going to a girls’ school helped him get out of his shell. And just for the record, it was a day school, not a boarding one.

Many would identify him through his music and the unique staggering dance but there is more than what meets the eye for Eko Dydda the king of “stammer and stagger.”.Eko Dydda is a former footballer who is now venturing into organizing soccer and sports events targeting to transform the community.

In 2007, Eko opted to take a break in football so as to concentrate in his music. He had been practicing it on the sides but now it was starting to demand more time from him.

Eko who is also famous for his other tracks such as (me and my house and Focus on Jesus) is confident that he will use his talent in music to help build football in the ghettos again.
