About Erozyon ve Çığ
Turkey is sharing with the citizens of Erosion and Avalanche Mobile Map.
Our mobile application;
It is designed to present Water Erosion, Wind Erosion and Avalanche Maps produced by the General Directorate of Combating Desertification and Erosion to our citizens.
Water Erosion;
• a national scale water erosion as a result of occurring soil loss in Turkey, has seen a great deal of acceptance in the international literature "Refurbished Universal Soil Loss Equation / Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation (AUTH A / RUSLE) model of 10 m was determined in spatial resolution basis. The researches and studies required for the monitoring and evaluation of soil losses are still continuing intensively. The AUTHORITY method is generally processed as a function of five different environmental parameters and expresses the annual soil loss occurring in a unit area as a result of the mutual interaction of these parameters.

• Users will be able to see the water erosion severity classes on the map and access the amount information in the desired area through the base maps.
• Will be able to contribute to the verification and updating of the map by sharing pictures and opinions with us for the area where it is located. The evaluation cannot be made in terms of data health without going to the location. Opinions will be obtained again on other issues related to water erosion at the location.
• Will be able to download the slope and land cover based statistics and maps we have prepared for 25 basins and 81 provinces for water erosion.
Wind Erosion;
• Dry and flat areas are the source of wind erosion in our country. However, the domain is much more than the resource domain. For this purpose, our General Directorate created a wind erosion map using the RWEQ (Revised Wind Erosion Equation) model.
• Our citizens will be able to see wind erosion severity areas on the map and make queries for the amount.
• Feedback can still be made. By using base maps, possible loss of life and property can be prevented by considering wind erosion in travel and trip planning.
Avalanche Maps;

It consists of 3 parts, 3-Accumulation (Standstill) Zone.
• It is a mobile phone application to be used by people with mobility in avalanche areas by using the borders of potential avalanche starting zones (PÇBB). People who download this application to their mobile phones are warned when they approach the avalanche starting zone. In the avalanche starting areas, the fresh snow mass that fell within 1-3 days poses an avalanche danger. Therefore, people who are active in avalanche starting zones (hiking, skiing, hunting, internal security operations) in mountainous areas should not cause avalanches in the starting areas where there are fresh snow masses for 1-3 days. Therefore, walking, skiing, blasting etc. in the PÇBB area (if there is fresh snow that has fallen in 1-3 days). activities should be avoided.
• With the mobile application, he reports that he approaches / enters the PÇBB area in the mountainous area, he may be exposed to an avalanche in this region or may cause an avalanche.
• For data security, users must request a password. There will be convenience in this regard.
• Avalanches are local dynamic events that occur in snow-covered mountain areas. The structure of the existing snow cover is formed as a result of interactions between local topography and climatic factors, and can damage roads, forests, tourism and infrastructure facilities in mountainous regions and threaten human life.
