The application is created with the sole purpose to clean our nation of its eclectic problems whether it is issues faced on roads like potholes, difficulties faced in the railway sector, encroachment issues or the seldom witnessed garbage piles on roadsides. The user simply needs to click a picture of the hindrance faced and upload the image on the app with a short description of the area, landmark and the problem faced. An existing image from the user’s gallery can also be selected. If the problem of the individual is ‘supported’ by a majority of the users, a plea is sent to the municipal corporation of the region.

‘RAISE AN ISSUE’ (RAI) is the index page of this application which defines the categories of problem faced. It has icons for each category.

We also have an 'achievements' page, where any issues that are solved are uploaded by the makers of the app. From the developers point of view this is the most crucial page as it reflects the changes brought about by our efforts. It is a signifier of how effective our medium has been and will also serve as our biggest critique.

For phase 1 of the app we have planned to launch ‘E-Sarkar’ in Mumbai.

For the ease of the user, the city of Mumbai is divided according to its iconic railway lines, the western and central lines.

The user can view the problems posted by other users in their area or they can change the area via a filter. A user can click on the support icon to register their support to the cause.

Daily push notification about the same are also received.

After gauging the people’s reaction we shall expand slowly to other parts of the country in order to achieve our goal of cleaning India.
