EZgifting

The application was inspired by one of our physician-colleagues who was about to deliver her first-born.

Each one of us available wanted to contribute in the support of a cash-gift, however only a few of us had cash on hand. We had 20 signatures on her greetings card, however only five people had cash to put together. And finally, many of the people who would have been happy to support were away on vacation or on a different shift.

While walking around for several days, with a card and envelope, each physician I encountered replied “I’m so glad you’re doing this.” After signing the card, most dug into their empty pockets, then shrugged their shoulders. “That’s alright, no problem, this is just a gesture, anyways,” I offered to make each feel ok about it.

“But, it’s not ok,” I thought - if their was an app for this, would could have shown our support in a better, more representative manner.

And, that’s how EZgifting was born!
