Factions' Gambit

Factions’ Gambit is a strategic, fast-paced card game where every match unfolds differently thanks to the interplay of 50 unique Factions and the unpredictable influence of 21 Gods.

Each Faction features its own ability: from direct damage to card manipulation, health recovery, forced reveals, freezing mechanics, and even instant‑win conditions, ensuring that every card you play carries tactical weight.

At the start of each match, the deck is built by combining four distinct Factions, each composed of cards numbered 1 to 10.

One of these becomes the Dominant Faction, a core rule that shapes combat:

“The Dominant Faction always wins. If both cards share the same Faction, the highest value wins.”

Players draw and play cards in alternating turns, scoring points each round. When the deck is exhausted, the difference in points becomes damage dealt to the opponent’s Health, determining the victor.

“The player with the highest score deals the difference as damage to the opponent’s Health.”

The Gods:

Depending on the chosen mode, a random God is revealed at the start of the match. Each God applies a global rule that persists throughout the game, altering the rhythm and strategy in dramatic ways:

Steady HP loss or regeneration

Damage or healing triggered by even/odd cards

Forced reveals

Random card freezing

Amplified damage or healing

Penalties tied to the Dominant Faction....

“Each God grants specific events during the match.”

These divine effects introduce controlled chaos, forcing players to adapt their strategy every turn.

Although the core rules are intentionally straightforward — draw, play, compare, score — the layered interactions between Factions and Gods create a deep tactical landscape.

The game rewards foresight, bluffing, reading the opponent, and mastering the synergies between your four chosen Factions.
