Fairy Tales on the River

This app is a part of Odense Aafart's new project Hans Christian Andersen's Fairy Tales on the River and is therefore used in connection with the boat rides up Odense River that take place in the summer holidays.

The Fairy Tales on the River project consists of 4 basic elements that together create a magical experience for our guests.

The boat ride on the Odense river. The boats have sailed this historic route since 1882.

Story telling aboard the boat. An actor will assume the role of Hans Christian Andersen and tell his beloved fairy tales.

Child actors will perform little scenarios from the fairy tales along the banks of the river.

Everything is to be experienced through the app which, via the use of augmented reality, brings the story to life in a new and exiting way.

In this way live performance, story telling and modern technology is united in a way that would indeed please the technology curious Hans Christian Andersen himself.
