Conceived by a few like-minded entrepreneurs during 1997-98, it was the need for minimum basic amenities required for running industrial units situated in the region that brought together the will and determination of all shades of industries to form an Association. There were no proper roads, frequent break-down of power, Flash Floods due to no storm water drainage system, and the cost of making trunk calls to Mumbai often in spite of being proximate to the mega city were but few of major impediments coming in the way of the then existing industries and units.
