Well with Hipspot you can. Simply look at your radar on Hipspot and move the dial to indicate a proximity from 100m to 5 km. Hipspot will show you how many people are within any suggested radius. It will then show you how many may be people you know or your friends know already, and how many are new. Each person will be accompanied by photos and standard intro; name, status, mutual friends and shared interests, providing just enough information, without being overtly personal.

Hipspot quietly works in the background, automatically identifying your location without the need for manually checking-in. Don't worry, Hipspot does not reveal exact locations, only proximities of users to each other. Users can control if they want to appear Online, Offline or Invisible, and can choose not to receive instant messages from other users by turning the function off in their privacy settings. Hipspot only requires that users login via Facebook, but please be reassured that we won't post anything on your wall.
