Social impact business (SIB) is the type of business that balances between:

- Create economic value for society

- Address emerging social / environmental issues

SIBs are business models of creating multi-values: economic values, social values, environmental values, human values, cultural values, and doing business with kindness.

- SIB can be an IT enterprise that provides training and job creation for people with disabilities

- SIB can be an organic farm business, ecological agriculture

- SIB can be a fashion-making enterprise using traditional dyes and fabrics to preserve national identity and export high-end fashion to the international market.

- SIB can be a small employer employing autistic people

- SIB could be a design business that creates cheap electricity generating turbines from buckets that supply electricity to homes in the Red River Delta.

- SIB can be businesses with app-sorting and garbage collection in urban households

SIBs receive the support and love of the community and are a rapidly growing trend in the world. In Viet Nam, there are about 2,000 social enterprises and 20,000 SIBs, accounting for 4% of the enterprise sector in Vietnam.

However

- Scholars want to study about this area, do not know where to get the data?

The community wants to support, but SIBs are too small to have a website and facebook, so also do not know where to find them conveniently?

- Angel investors, impact investors want to find SIBs to invest, support, but do not have much information about them?

- Policymakers have also recognized the importance of SIB sector but have yet access to the sector

- Impact enterprises want to connect with businesses in the same area and the same value but do not know where to find information?

- SIBs are concerned that there are many companies that are named for PR purpose in, but not as a social business in its true meaning. They need a reliable organization that can authenticate that business for society?
