QUICK SETUP

Connect your phone to the same Wi-Fi as your TV, open the app and pick your TV from the list. Depending on the brand, you type the code shown on the TV or press Allow on the TV. You do this once; after that it connects straight away.

ONLY BUTTONS THAT WORK

The app asks each TV what it can do and shows only those controls. A Chromecast has no on-screen menu, so it gets no D-pad.

BEFORE YOU INSTALL

• Your phone and TV must be on the same Wi-Fi network.

• Fire TV and Vizio TVs cannot yet be controlled.

• Some TVs ship with network control switched off. On Roku, check Settings > System > Advanced system settings > Control by mobile apps.

• The app is available in 22 languages.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

Commands go straight from your phone to your TV over your own network. There is no account and no server, and nothing about what you watch is collected.

FREE, WITH ADS

The app is free and supported by ads. Ads appear between screens, never in the middle of a key press. In Europe and the UK you are asked before any ad is requested. Remove ads with a monthly, 3-month or yearly subscription or a one-time purchase, or watch 3 short videos for 3 hours without ads. Every feature is free. Subscriptions renew until cancelled, which you can do at any time in Google Play.
