ISL-KJV

The ISL-KJV Bible was created to serve the Indian Deaf Community as a bridge to greater English literacy by developing one's fluency in the text of the KJV Bible. Throughout the process of translating the Bible into ISL, the underlying Greek Text (Textus Receptus) was consulted so as to provide an ISL translation from the original Greek while still helping develop fluency in the English text of the KJV. Additionally, due to the current state of differing "dialects" of ISL, effort was made to use signs which have been tested through use to be those which most easily communicate Biblical concepts among the ISL community.
