Hurr: Break digital chains

Porn addiction steals your time, your focus, and your peace of mind. Every time you decide to quit, you end up right back where you started. Hur is built to break that cycle and stay with you, one step at a time.

Hur is a content blocker that cuts off porn and explicit material at the root, so you can recover from the addiction and take back control instead of letting the content control you.

HOW HUR HELPS

◇ Blocks porn sites automatically, in your browser and inside apps, with nothing to configure.

◇ A keyword and website filter you can add to, blocking any site or word you want to avoid.

◇ Block any app that pulls you toward explicit content: TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X.

◇ Focus mode locks distractions until you finish your work or study session.

◇ Daily limits: give an app a time budget, and Hur blocks it once the budget is spent.

◇ Schedule blocking around your own triggers: before bed, idle time, the moments you slip.

◇ Uninstall protection so a moment of weakness can't undo your decision and switch it off.

◇ An accountability partner: pick one person you trust to stand with you through recovery.

HOW HUR USES THE ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE

Hur uses the Android Accessibility Service (AccessibilityService API) to provide its core blocking features. Hur cannot block anything without it. You enable it yourself during setup, and you can turn it off at any time in Android Settings > Accessibility > Hur.

Hur uses the Accessibility Service to:

◇ See which app is currently in the foreground, so that a blocked app, an app locked by Focus Mode, or an app that has used up its daily limit can be covered with a blocking screen.

◇ Read the web address in your browser's address bar, so porn sites and sites on your blocklist are blocked before they load.

◇ Read text shown on screen inside the apps you choose to filter (such as TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and X), so content matching your blocked keywords can be blocked.

◇ Detect when Hur is about to be uninstalled or switched off, so Uninstall Protection can hold while your commitment is still running.

How your data is handled:

◇ Everything above happens on your device, in real time. On-screen text and web addresses are compared against your blocklist and then discarded.

◇ Hur does not record, store or transmit your screen content, your keystrokes or your browsing history, to us or to anyone else.

◇ Hur never collects passwords, payment details or the contents of your messages.

◇ Accessibility Service data is never used for advertising and is never sold or shared.

Hur means free. It's not just a blocker, it's your first step toward a clear head, real focus, and getting back to the goals and people that deserve your time.

Start today. Block your first site in under a minute, and take the first step toward a cleaner, calmer life.
