Klebsiella Pneumoniae

Klebsilla is a gram-negative, anaerobic bacterium,which under the microscope is shape like a rod.It belong to the family Enterobacteriaceae and is a normal commensal living in the mouth and gut.However, when Klebsiella becomes transported elsewhere it becomes pathogenic and is commonly associated with UTIs,wound and respiratory infections.
