KnowHow Early Learning

Country-adapted Early Learning courses for Southern Africa support pre-primary and early grade teachers to provide quality early education to children, allowing children a good start into formal education. In this course all pre-primary and primary teachers can be inspired by new teaching methodologies and apply them in their own teaching context, encouraging age-appropriate learning throughout primary school. The courses are designed over 20 weeks. Each week includes four notional hours of study time. This is a collaborative course, based on teaching and learning principles which apply to adults and children. An important part of this course is building a professional learning community (PLC) with fellow teachers who meet regularly to work collaboratively and share knowledge and skills. We believe this will contribute to improved teaching skills and better children’s performance.
