Magnetic field detector

Gauss meter and magnetic field detector app uses the magnetic field sensor on your device to measure magnetic flux density (B) in Gauss or Tesla.

A Gauss meter displays electromagnetic wave measurements in Gauss (G), milliGauss (mG), milli-Tesla (mT) or micro-Tesla (µT) units. A Gauss meter can detect either static (DC) permanent (rare-earth) magnetic or dynamic (AC) electromagnetic fields (Emf), or both.

A magnetometer is a device that measures magnetism—the direction, strength, or relative change of a magnetic field at a particular location.

Magnetometers are widely used for measuring the Earth's magnetic field, and in geophysical surveys, to detect magnetic anomalies of various types.

Magnetometers can be used as metal detectors: they can detect only magnetic (ferrous) metals, but can detect such metals at a much larger depth than conventional metal detectors; they are capable of detecting large objects, such as cars, at tens of meters.
