MAI 112

The MAI112 App is an application that allows deaf citizens to access emergency number 112 quickly and effectively by videoconferencing with access to simultaneous translation through LGP interpreter. In order to improve its use, the user can preset up to 10 messages with user-specific information so as to send information to the service faster in an emergency 112.

ATTENTION - Sending a simple message is not sufficient for activating distress

Requirements:

To use the MAI112 application you must:

- Accept all permissions requested by the App;

- Enable location services

- Enable mobile data (3G / 4G) or a Wi-Fi access point to use video with 112 service.

If no video connection is possible, you can still exchange messages (through the application) with the 112 service.

Data communications will be free under this application in Portugal. However, the data consumed by downloading the application will not be free.

If you change SIM cards you will need to reactivate the application.
