MapViets

MapViets supports field GIS surveying and data recording on Android phones. The interface is in Vietnamese, the map is the main screen, and surveying tools are accessed via icons.

• Create points, lines, zones, and text labels on the map. Close zones from three distinct vertices; edit attributes, edit vertices, undo, and delete with confirmation. • Use current location tracking, GPS point measurements, and track route recording while the application is open. View WGS84 longitude and latitude, estimated error, and measurement time. Tracking pauses when switching applications or locking the screen. • Capture survey photos, attach them to objects, review, and share individual photos. • Create multiple projects and save them automatically on your phone. Survey data can still be opened and edited offline. • Import and export GeoJSON WGS84 for GIS data exchange. JPEG images are shared separately and are not embedded in GeoJSON. • Free satellite background is the default; can be changed to terrain or street view online. Open KML/KMZ, GeoJSON, and GeoTIFF with VN-2000 coordinates supported as separate backgrounds on the device. GeoTIFF converts coordinates to a background image with a maximum viewing resolution of 2048px; it does not replace the original full-resolution image. Online maps require an internet connection and the source is indicated. The EOX satellite background uses Sentinel-2 imagery from 2016 with a resolution of approximately 10m, for general reference only.

No account is required. Project data and images are stored on the device; the application does not have a synchronization server. Positioning depends on the device and signal reception conditions and does not replace dedicated GNSS/RTK measuring instruments. External GNSS, GDB, DWG, DGN, Shapefile, or GeoPackage are not yet supported.
