Messages: SMS Text Messaging

💬 Messages – Keep everyday conversations clear and easy to manage

Messages brings your SMS and MMS conversations together in one straightforward inbox. Read, reply, and keep track of the people and updates that matter in your day.

Use simple tools to find older chats, start a new text, share supported media, and prepare a message for a time that suits you. The experience is designed to help you stay organized without changing how you communicate.

Clear Conversation View

💬 Browse message threads in a focused inbox, open a conversation quickly, and follow replies in order. A readable layout helps you check new texts and return to earlier messages with less searching.

Send When It Works for You

📅 Write a text now and schedule it for a later time. Review the recipient and message before scheduling, then return to the conversation when the message is sent.

Find Important Details

🔍 Search your messages to locate a contact, phrase, or conversation when you need it. This can make it easier to revisit an address, confirmation, reminder, or previous reply.

Share More Than Words

📷 Create SMS messages and send supported MMS content such as photos when your device, carrier, and messaging settings allow it. Group conversations can also be available depending on those settings.

Keep Your Inbox Tidy

📌 Manage conversations in a way that fits your routine. Read messages, respond when ready, and remove threads you no longer need from your visible inbox.

Choose Your Message Experience

🎨 Adjust available display and notification options to make the app comfortable to use. Your choices can be changed later from the app or Android settings where available.

Stay Aware of New Texts

🔔 Optional notifications can let you know when a new message arrives. You control whether notifications are allowed and can change their behavior in Android Settings.

This app provides tools for SMS and MMS messaging on compatible Android devices. Some features may vary by device, Android version, carrier support, network conditions, or system settings.

PERMISSIONS & DEVICE SETTINGS

Messages keeps its main tools available if you skip an optional permission. Use Not now or Deny when you prefer, and reverse a device setting later in Android Settings.

• Notifications (optional) — alerts if you allow them. Skip anytime; turn off later in Android Settings.

• Phone / after-call extras (optional) — optional after-call extras can provide related actions after a phone call. They are separate from the core app. You can skip them.

• Display over other apps (optional) — after-call UI if you allow it. Revoke anytime in Android Settings.

• Launcher (included) — the app includes a Home-screen launcher for convenient access from the phone's Home experience. Some people may be asked to set it as the default Home app. Not everyone is asked. That choice is optional. You can skip it and keep your current Home, or change it later in Android Settings → Home app.

Grants are never required to use the core product.
