Metal Detector: Compass & EMF Meter

This useful utility application is loaded with many everyday use tools like Metal Detector, Compass & EMF Meter. The app uses your device built-in magnetometer sensor to measure magnetic field values surrounding the device, compass, and electromagnetic field meter. The magnetic field is detected by the device and based on the values the device will show you the intensity of nearby metals. Data is displayed in µT (micro Tesla). 1µT = 10mG (milliGauss). The magnetic field in nature ranges from 25 to 65 µT (0.25to 0.65 G). Any higher measurement is an indication of metal in the area.

The app works best detecting electromagnetic fields and ferromagnetic materials, such as iron and can’t detect non-ferromagnetic materials such as aluminum. The app works best-detecting metals up to 15cm away.

The integrated digital compass in the application is of high accuracy for you to travel and find directions, so you will not get lost on your explorations, night travel, and expeditions.

To detect metals, just open it and move your device around. If the magnetic field values rise then that means that the app is successfully detecting is metals in the area. The accuracy of the app is entirely dependent on the magnetic sensor in your device. The readings can get affected by electrical equipment such as TVs, PCs and electrical appliances due to electromagnetic waves.
