NMOPS

NMOPS is the first and largest body of Central, State & Autonomous government employees who has joied after 1 Jan 2004 and falls under New Pension Scheme(NPS) in India. Its head office is situated at Hyderabad (Telangana) with its state units spreaded all over India. Since January 1, 2004, the Central Government has abolished the old pension scheme. In the same order, some states have also abolished Old Pension scheme from April 1, 2005 and new pension system was implemented. Teachers, Office and other staff members are feeling cheated with the new system and are protesting it in their own capacities in all different states and cities. NMOPS has become a national campaign for old pension restoration. Various state groups have joined hands with NMOPS to fight this battle and are organizing a movement for pension reinstatement as one unit.
