Peck - A - Balloon

A simple arcade / family / casual game, and a cross between the "Flappy genre" and the "Cave Helicopter genre" with it's own colour-matching twist. Control a bird that changes through a trifecta of colours to burst balloons of matching chroma! But don't try to burst balloons of non-matching colours, and don't fly too high or too low, or it's game over!

Simple games can be fun! Just look at so many games of the retro era on platforms such as the Commodore 64, early Namco and Atari, and many games on the Atari 2600, as well as newer titles such as, well, the entire "flappy genre". Peck-A-Balloon is a simple, fun videogame!

An endless game that is a test of your twitch skills and somewhat like the classic "Cave Helicopter genre" crossed with the "Flappy genre" with a colour-matching element. The challenge is to take control of a colour-switching lark / robin / lorikeet / Parrot - like bird flying alone through a forest made of while using it's beak for popping red, yellow and blue balloons of the same colour and avoiding balloons of different colours. All depicted through vibrant looking smooth 60FPS doodle - esque vector graphics.

In this game of balloonacy, your boid is bouyed by periodically holding and releasing the screen, but you must aim your avian avatar for the balloons of matching pigment, or else your chromatically feathered finch of kaliedoscopic plumage will be halted. With a red birdy, aim only for red balloons. With a blue birdy, blue balloons are the target. A yellow pidgey means go for yellow balloons. Control your floppy bird's general floppy - ness by holding your finger on the screen to flap higher and release it to descend but careful not to let your multi-pigmented potty pecky pigeon go too high or too low, or your rainbow-rendered wren might find itself floored, and then it's game over for you, and your sparrow of shifting spectrum, and it's balloony escapades! The game features 2 modes of play: "Normal Mode" and "Trial Mode". In normal mode, the more balloons you burst the faster and more rapid your flappy colour bird rockets through the forest. In trial mode, your bird maintains its current speed.

As mentioned above, control is handled by holding your finger on the screen to command your bird to fly upwards and releasing your finger from the screen to cause the bird to descend, somewhat like the "chopper in a cave" genre of apps. The bird will switch to a

different color (or else stay the some color) after the balloons have passed off-screen

and before a new set of balloons appear.
