Folding a note on a harmonica is an advanced technique that only slightly changes a single note. This is what gives the harmonica its distinctive quality of "moaning." Normally, folding can only be performed on a diatonic harmonica. There are some exceptions, but generally savers in chromatic harmonicas alter the sound, which makes it less impressive.
