Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna ( the centrally sponsored flagship housing scheme was launched by the Central Government on the 25th of June, 2015 The vision of the Scheme is to provide ‘Housing for All by 2022 The scheme caters to different sectors of society with different housing needs.

‘Pune Metropolitan Region’, which comprises of two Municipal Corporations, three Cantonment Boards, seven Municipal Councils, and 13 census towns and 816 villages under 9 Talukas of Pune district was included under ‘PMAY mission’ vide Govt of Maharashtra letter dated 8 12 2017.

Consequently, ‘Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority’, became the implementing agency for ‘PMAY Urban’ in 816 villages in 9 Talukas under Pune Metropolitan Region For beneficiaries having land and requiring financial assistance can benefit from ‘Vertical 4 Beneficiary Led Individual House Construction’ where the direct benefit of Rs 2.5 lacs (Central Share of Rs 1.5 lacs and State Govt share of Rs 1 lac) is given for house construction be beneficiary For beneficiaries having no land and requiring subsidized house can apply under ‘Vertical 3 Affordable House in Partnership (AHP/ Beneficiaries requiring subsidized ‘Housing loan’ can apply under ‘Vertical 2 Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme’
