Rapid Ascent

Ascend! From the creators of Cargo Launch and Ultimate Recharge comes Rapid Ascent, a 2D vertical platformer. As a little robot, you must flee the water encroaching from below, while also avoiding any obstacles in your way. Score points by finishing levels fast collecting the blue orbs.

Rapid Ascent is a 2D vertical platformer game, created by FRC Team 3536. The objective of the game is to escape the water rising from below the stage by climbing up a narrow tunnel. You get more points the faster you clear a level, with the points visible ticking away every second. Additionally, every blue orb collected provides ten points at the clearing of the level. The robot itself is capable of jumping once in the air in any direction, allowing for changes in direction or additional boosts in the air. The robot itself is quite fragile: any contact with a spike or the water will result in fatal damage. As such, it is important to dodge those things as quickly as possible. You can also generate a QR code for your high score in the High Score screen, which can be used to log it at the Rapid Ascent leaderboard at the Team 3536 pit at an FRC tournament we are attending.

QR Code Description

When you achieve a new high score at an FRC tournament, you can go the high score screen and generate a new QR code for your score. With this QR code you can bring your device to Team 3536’s pit and scan it onto the leaderboard. The leaderboard will let you see your results compared to the other top scorers.
