Red Deer Its Life And These Habits

The red deer is Herbivorous and ruminant, the deer is also selective in its diet because it feeds on the vegetation that it finds on its territory. It is one of the largest deer of European fauna. The coloring of the dress varies according to age, sex and seasons. It is usually a brownish tint in summer, and gray-brown in winter. A yellowish spot called "crest" adorns the rump of limbs of both sexes. The male wears deciduous antlers which grow back each year in the shelter of a velvety sheath irrigated with blood. The silhouette of the deer is slender and its thin, long legs are cut for the race.

The deer are found in the large forest areas of Europe, North America, North Asia and Africa (Atlas massif).
