Reducing The Strength

Reducing the Strength compares the price of alcoholic beverages with "Reducing The Strength" initiatives that are currently gaining backing across the UK. It allows local shopkeepers, stores and compliance officers to quickly check how current prices match up to the ideals being set by the Reducing The Strength campaign in their area.

These schemes are attempting to reduce the availability of cheap alcohol offered to consumers by asking off-licenses to voluntarily stop the sale of 'super-strength' alcohol. 'Super-strength' alcohol is any beer, lager or cider with an alcohol volume of 6.5 percent or over.
