Roma team is an Italian professional football club based in Rome. Founded by amalgamation in 1927, the Roma have been at the top of Italian football for their entire existence, with the exception of 1951–52.

Roma have won Serie A three times, in 1941–1942, 1982–1983 and 2000–01, as well as nine Coppa Italia titles and two Supercoppa Italiana titles. In European competitions, the Roma won the Inter-City Fairs Cup in 1960–1961 and were finalists in the 1983–1984 European Cup and 1990–1991 European Cup.

Fifteen players have won the FIFA World Cup while playing in Rome.

Since 1953, Roma have played their home games at Stadio Olimpico, a venue they share with their rivals in the town of Lazio. With a capacity of over 72,000 seats, it is the second largest of its kind in Italy, with only the San Siro able to accommodate more. The club are planning to move to a new stadium, although construction has not yet started.

The Roma club's home colors are Tyrian purple and gold, which gives Roma their nickname ("The yellows and reds"). These colors have often been associated with white shorts. Their club badge features a wolf, an allusion to the founding myth of Rome.
