All your movies, one login. Cast to Chromecast and download for off-line viewing. You can even borrow from your friends: You request; they approve. They lose access while you enjoy the show. When you're done, just send it back. Imagine your movies, anywhere, anytime.

Sagebin treats DVDs like the banks treat cash:

The banking system has their customers deposit cash and then issues clients a debit card--a digital representation of their physical currency. Sagebin, similarly, has customers send their discs to Sagebin's warehouse, the discs are verified to be authentic, and then a digital stream is created for the customer to watch through their App and website.

The customer is allowed to cache her movie off-line for a set period of time. The movie cannot be accessed outside of the App, and the movie is deleted once the timer has ended.

Like Streamnation and other Apps, Sagebin allows users to have up to 10 friends. Friends are able to view the users movie library. Friends may also submit a borrow request for a movie. The user may permit the borrow for a predetermined period of time (24 hours, 48 hours, or 7 days). During this time, the user loses access to the movie, and the borrower is permitted to watch.

In short, Sagebin has protected the studios from copyright infringement and has allowed customers to modernize their movie libraries while maintaining the property rights they held with their discs.
