SAWA | Intercity Carpooling

The trip is already happening. The empty seat is waiting for you.

SAWA is Egypt's intercity carpooling community — Cairo, Alexandria, Mansoura, Tanta and beyond.

Every day, cars travel between Egyptian cities with empty seats. At the same time, other people are looking for a way to reach exactly the same place. One road, and neither knows the other is on it.

SAWA connects people already driving their own car with people heading to the same destination at the same time — so a trip that was happening anyway can carry more than one person.

Nothing is dispatched and no trip is created on demand. Every trip on SAWA is a journey someone was already making, with their empty seats offered to people going the same way.

WHY SAWA ?

The trip already exists

Offer the empty seats in your own journey, or find a trip heading to your destination.

A smarter way to travel

Better use of a car that's already on the road, with the cost fairly divided.

You decide

Optional ID verification, ratings and reviews, and women-only trips. The choice stays yours.

Built for Egypt

City to city — Cairo, Alexandria, Mansoura, Tanta and more. Built around the journeys Egyptians actually make.

Less traffic, more value

Every seat filled means one less car making the same trip. Lighter roads, less fuel, better use of the cars already out there.

HOW IT WORKS ?

Post your trip — driving your own car? Set your route, your time, and your empty seats.

Reserve your seat — going the same way? Find a trip heading to your destination and take a seat.

Meet and go — agree on the details, meet at the starting point, and travel together.
