Surat AL Baqarah contains 286 verses its a 2nd Surah of the Holy Quran Sharif. There is no disagreement over the view that Surat Al-Baqarah was revealed in its entirety in Al-Madinah. Moreover, Al-Baqarah was one of the first Surahs to be revealed in Al-Madinah

The Holy Prophet (S) has said that whoever recites the first four verses of Surah al-Baqarah, accompanied by the ‘ayatul kursi’ together with the last three verses of this Surah - and makes a habit of reciting these verses daily – his life, property and family will be protected and no evil shall come upon them. Shaitan will not come close to him and he will not be from those who forget Allah .
