🎙️ Dictation (uses Android's Accessibility Service)

Transcriber: Speech to Text includes an optional Dictation feature that lets you type by voice into any app — Messages, Email, Notes, and more.

To power this, the app uses Android's Accessibility Service. This is used only to detect when you tap into a text field in another app, so the app can show a floating microphone button and type your dictated words directly into that field.

The Accessibility Service is not used to record phone calls, read or collect the content of your screen or other apps, change your device settings, or for anything unrelated to Dictation. All speech-to-text happens entirely on your device — nothing is uploaded or shared.

Dictation is fully optional. You can turn it on or off anytime in the app's Settings, and revoke Accessibility access anytime from Android Settings → Accessibility.
