U6 Rätselrallye

The U6 Riddle Rally is a mobile augmented reality app that lets players immerse themselves in the Art Nouveau period and the early days of the Viennese light rail. Otto Wagner's ghost captures the smartphone of the players and ask them for help to solve the last great mystery of Vienna. Where did Otto Wagner's glass bathtub stay?

An entertaining puzzle game is about finding tracks and following them through the stations of the U6. Complex problem-solving and puzzle-making bring the mystery closer and closer. If the player directs her smartphone on easily recognizable posters on the ground floors of the stations, the individual pictures come to life. Players can interact with the emerging objects, collect things and then profitably use and combine them elsewhere.

As players puzzled through the stations of the U6, they learned a lot about the history of the Viennese Stadtbahn, about Otto Wagner and the magic of Art Nouveau - and maybe even where the bathtub stayed.

Note on the operation of the app. Use your smartphone close enough to the pictures on the posters. If the 3D objects do not appear on the pictures, move the smartphone slightly back and forth or sideways.
