Urmet Duel

DUEL is the control app for the DUEL user device produced by Urmet TLC SpA.

The DUEL is a device capable of receiving data sent to domestic users by second generation low voltage smart meters on the C-band Power Line Carrier (PLC) communication channel (channel defined as "CHAIN ​​2" according to resolution 87 /2016/R/eel ARERA and compliant with CEI TS 13-82/83/84 specifications).

The device does not include any installation costs and is totally plug&play, since, thanks to the use of the PLC channel, it only requires its insertion into any electrical outlet in the house. It can simultaneously receive data from both the M1 meter (withdrawn and introduced energy) and from any M2 meter (produced energy). It is equipped with a WIFI or NB-IoT interface through which it sends the data received from the meter to the dedicated URMET management platform. Here they are appropriately processed and made available to the user in multi-platform mode on the app and WEB portal or possibly sent to third-party management platforms for further processing.

The app allows you to check the admissibility of your electricity utility (POD) to the CHAIN2 service, configure the device and view all the data made available by the electricity meter on your smartphone. Among the main measurements it is possible to detect:

− current data such as energy withdrawn, fed in and produced in the last quarter of an hour (with relative daily profile) and instantaneous power

− historical consumption data with the configuration of the reference period (day, month, year)

− real time notifications, such as warnings that the available power has been exceeded and the relative residual time before the intervention of the power limiter

The device has been approved by the main electricity distributors in the country.
