VeApp

VeApp application is a unique tool for daily study and activity planning, information dissemination and unified communication for the convenience of Ventspils University of Applied Sciences (VUAS) students and staff.

The application's calendar tab allows users to view the current schedule of studies or events, obtain current information about planned events, find and contact lecturers and VUAS staff in general, as well as quickly find auditoriums and other study rooms and their location within the university buildings. The built-in attendance tagging feature allows students to easily check-in and register their participation in lectures or events using a smartphone camera, by scanning QR codes displayed at the audience entrances. The app also serves as an information platform through which announcements and school news are distributed. VeApp has an extensive information base on school opportunities, blogs from other users, as well as private and public discussion forums for interest groups.

The VeApp notification system allows users to receive real-time notifications of changes to the lecture schedule, as well as important school announcements, news in sections of interest to the user, and replies or new articles in forum sections to which the user has subscribed.
