VHP Bridge

VHP Bridge is a small companion app for VPN Hotspot & Proxy. On its own it does nothing visible, its only job is to carry the main app's shared connection through whatever VPN is currently running on your phone.

WHY IT EXISTS

VPN Hotspot & Proxy lets other devices on your Wi-Fi hotspot reach the internet through your phone's local proxy. When you also run a system-wide VPN (for example Psiphon), that VPN tunnels your apps — but the proxy traffic still needs a clean path into the tunnel. VHP Bridge provides that path. It keeps a tiny loopback relay open that stays inside the active VPN, so everything the main app hands to it travels through your VPN connection.

HOW IT WORKS

- Runs two local listeners on your device only and these are for HTTP proxy and SOCKS5 proxy and port.

- These are loopback addresses — nothing is exposed to your Wi-Fi network or to the internet.

- Traffic sent to them is forwarded with ordinary sockets, which Android

automatically routes through the VPN that is currently active.

- It does not create a VPN of its own and never asks for VPN permission.

SETUP

1. Install VHP Bridge on the same phone as VPN Hotspot & Proxy.

2. Start your VPN as usual.

3. Start the hotspot or connect devices to the same wifi, then start your Proxy in VPN Hotspot & Proxy.

4. VHP Bridge starts automatically, if it does not then open it and tap start. However, the main app is supposed to start it automatically whenever it is needed.

A silent, ongoing notification is shown while the bridge is running so Android keeps it alive in the background. Stop it any time from the app.

PRIVACY

VHP Bridge does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. It has no analytics and no sign-in. It only relays bytes between the companion app and your active VPN, on your device.

PLEASE NOTE

VHP Bridge is not a VPN and not a general-purpose proxy for browsing. It is only useful together with VPN Hotspot & Proxy, therefore you should install both apps for it to do anything.
