About Volt
Offline electronics calculator: resistor codes, Ohm's law, dividers and LEDs.
Volt is a fast, offline calculator for electronics bench work.
It opens instantly, works with no internet connection and asks for nothing. No ads, no accounts, no permissions, no tracking.
Built for electronics students, hobbyists and technicians who have a breadboard in front of them and need a number now.
FIVE TOOLS
Resistor colour code
Decode 4, 5 and 6-band resistors into resistance, tolerance and temperature coefficient. Works in reverse too: enter a value and get the band colours.
Ohm's law
Enter any two of voltage, current, resistance and power. Volt calculates the other two.
Voltage divider
Calculate the output voltage from R1, R2 and the input voltage, or enter a target voltage and get suggested resistor pairs from standard values.
LED series resistor
Enter the supply voltage, LED forward voltage and current to get the required resistor, the next standard value up and its power dissipation. Volt warns you when the power exceeds ¼ W.
E-series lookup
Find the nearest standard resistor in E12, E24 or E96, with the values above and below and the percentage error.
DESIGNED FOR THE BENCH
- Results update live as you type
- Large touch targets for one-handed use
- Built-in numeric keypad for every value you type
- Light and dark themes
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Volt sends nothing. There are no accounts, no analytics and no data collection. The only thing it saves is your light or dark theme choice, and that never leaves your phone.
Volt is built by Nordrift.
