Altimetr

Welcome to the Cockpit Community! Altimetr is the first dedicated social network and visual logbook designed specifically for the aviation industry. Whether you are a commercial captain, private pilot, air traffic controller, cabin crew member, flight student, mechanic, or planespotter, Altimetr is your new home above the clouds, allowing you to connect with fellow aviators, document your flights, and stay up to date with the aviation world.

Among its key features, your Digital Crew Card showcases your aviation background by adding your licenses—such as PPL, CPL, or ATPL—logged total hours, home airport ICAO code, and aircraft type ratings directly to your personal profile. Your logbook entries come alive through Visual Flight Logs that feature automated route maps (such as EDDF to KJFK), ICAO routes, VFR or IFR tags, and dynamic telemetry overlays for altitude, speed, and distance in nautical miles displayed right on your photos. You can also discover breathtaking cockpit views, crosswind landings, and ATC audio clips through Squawks—a vertical 9:16 HUD-style short video feed where content can be filtered using real transponder codes: Squawk 7000 for General Aviation and bush flying, Squawk 2000 for commercial aviation and cruise life, Squawk 7600 for radio, ATC, and tower views, and Squawk 1200 for cabin crew and layover guides. For communication, the Intercom direct messaging system and crew group chats enable you to share flight logs, discuss procedures, or plan your next fly-in destination together. Above all, Altimetr guarantees a space with 100% real aviation content tailored for true avgeeks: it enforces a strict Zero AI Policy that accepts only authentic photos and videos, eliminates off-topic social media noise, and prioritizes operational flight safety under a Sterile Cockpit Policy.

Tailored for pilots across General Aviation, commercial, glider, and military sectors, as well as air traffic controllers, dispatchers, cabin crew, maintenance technicians, flight students, instructors, and planespotters, Altimetr invites you to join the crew today and take off with us. Have a safe flight!
