Bhagavadgita is an ancient Indian philosophical treatise. One of the last texts of the Vedas . Also known as 'Gitopanishad'.

It contains a sermon by Lord Sri Krishna about Arjuna's life.

The Gita, mentioned at the beginning of the war in the battlefield on Kurukshetra, is a dialogue between Shri Krishna and Arjuna, in which Shri Krishna resolves Arjuna's doubts. Based on various examples and analogies, Shri Krishna has guided Arjuna about yoga and Vedanta. This is one of the most important guiding books in Hinduism and the context of the song is useful in making the philosophy of human life soothing. Countless philosophers, scientists and thinkers from different countries and religions of the world have always glorified the book and have given the place of the lamp to the abyss of human life.

In the Bhagavad Gita, it is said that Lord Krishna showed Arjuna his own form in the song while conveying the Gita and convinced him that he was God. (Shri Krishna has shown this worldview to Yashodamata from childhood, and to Utshank Rishi in old age!)

Gita's place is so important in an Indian culture that Gita is called 'Yogopanishad' or 'Gitopanishad' and it is given the status of Upanishads. Gita is also called 'Upanishads of Upanishads' because she is a preacher and she interprets the Upanishads. Knowledge in the lyrics gives a person great satisfaction and happiness as well as helps to find the way to salvation , hence the Gita has been called 'Mokshastha'.
