Kim Tae-hyung or better known as V is a singer, songwriter, and actor from South Korea. He is a member of the male vocal group BTS, which is managed by Big Hit Music. Kim Taehyung was born in Seo District, Daegu, South Korea on December 30, 1995 and grew up in Geochang City.

BTS Taehyung is the eldest of three siblings, has two brothers, a younger brother and a younger sister. The first time he wanted to become a professional singer was when BTS Taehyung started entering elementary school and in BTS' junior high school Taehyung even took saxophone lessons to be able to realize his dream. BTS Taehyung officially became a Big Hit Entertainment trainee after successfully passing the audition in Daegu.

BTS Taehyung joined Bangtan Boys in 2011, but was not introduced to the public until 2013. On June 13, 2013, BTS Taehyung debuted as a member of Bangtan Boys on Mnet M! Countdown performed the song "No More Dream" from their debut single album, 2 Cool 4 Skool. The first song that BTS Taehyung made was included in the album The Most Beautiful Moment In Life, Part 1, BTS Taehyung wrote and produced his own song titled Hold Me Tight.
