Bump Pulse: Contraction Timer

Your calm labor companion: a contraction timer, a contraction counter and a contraction tracker for the day itself — a labor tracker and birth counter your partner can follow live.

Bump Pulse times each contraction with one tap, shows how long it lasted and how far apart the last few were, and draws the pattern of the past hour so you can see the rhythm form. Use it at home in early labor, on the way to the hospital, or with your birth partner holding the phone. Most apps for contractions want a setup first — this is an app to track contractions from the first twinge.

During labor

- Timing contractions is one tap to start, one to stop. No setup, no menus

- Duration and interval for every entry, and the averages for the last hour

- The 5-1-1 or 4-1-1 rule, or your own — and how close you are to it

- Add a note or an intensity to any entry, or fix a start time afterwards

- Milestones on the same timeline: water broke, arrived at the hospital, baby born

- Share a clear summary with your midwife or doctor

See the pattern, not just the numbers

- A timeline of the whole session, hour by hour

- Length and spacing plotted so a change is visible before you would notice it

- Useful when you are wondering whether this is the real thing or Braxton Hicks

Partner sharing, in real time

- Send a live link and your partner follows along from their own phone, in any room or any city

- Your birth partner can start and stop the timer for you when your hands are busy

- Works for a doula or a midwife too — anyone you choose, for as long as you choose

On your wrist and your home screen

- Bump Pulse runs on Wear OS: start and stop from your watch and see the count, average duration and interval for the last hour, plus the most recent entries

- A running timer stays on your watch face until you stop it

- Home screen widgets in three sizes show the timer, the past hour and the latest entries, with a Start/Stop button that works without opening the app

Guides for the day

- A hospital bag checklist you can tick off

- Short guides on early labor, the 5-1-1 rule, false labor and when to call

- Tools for the weeks before: labor probability by week, birth weight estimate, the first weeks after

Private, offline, and quiet

- Works with no signal and no account. Your records stay on your phone unless you choose to share them

- A share link can be switched off at any time, and only the people you invite ever see it

- Free, with no ads and no subscription: the extras are a single one-time purchase

Built for first-time parents, for partners who want to help, and for anyone who would rather watch the person than the clock.

Bump Pulse is not a medical device and does not replace the advice of your midwife or doctor. It shows you the pattern — when to go is a decision for you and your care team.

No ads. No distractions. Just clarity.
