পাবলিক প্লেসে মোটরযান চালানোর জন্য প্রত্যেকেরই ড্রাইভিং লাইসেন্স থাকতে হবে। ড্রাইভিং লাইসেন্স পেতে ড্রাইভিং পরীক্ষায় অংশ নেওয়ার আগে একজনকে লার্নার ড্রাইভিং লাইসেন্স ধারণ করতে হবে। লার্নার লাইসেন্সের জন্য আবেদনপত্র প্রাসঙ্গিক নথি এবং ফি সহ নির্ধারিত ফর্মে লাইসেন্সিং কর্তৃপক্ষের কাছে জমা দিতে হবে। বিদেশী নাগরিক নয় এমন একজন আবেদনকারীকে বাংলা বা ইংরেজি পড়তে ও লিখতে সক্ষম হতে হবে। ড্রাইভিং পরীক্ষায় সফল প্রার্থীকে নির্ধারিত ফরমে লাইসেন্সিং কর্তৃপক্ষের কাছে প্রাসঙ্গিক নথি এবং ফি সহ আবেদনপত্র জমা দিতে হবে।

Bangladesh Road Transport Authority, widely known as BRTA, is the driving license issuing authority in Bangladesh. BRTA, located in 32 districts out of 62 administrative circles under the authority of the Ministry of Communications and under the Motor Honda Ordinance, 1983, regulates special procedures and permits any person to drive a Motor Honda. It facilitates a thorough driving test to determine whether an applicant complies with certain regulations and is capable of obtaining a license to drive a motor Honda.

Everyone must have a driving license to drive a motor vehicle in a public place. One needs to hold a learner driving license before appearing for the driving test to get a driving license. Application for learner's license should be submitted to the licensing authority in the prescribed form along with the relevant documents and fee. An applicant not a foreign national must be able to read and write Bengali or English. The successful candidate of the driving test has to submit the application along with the relevant documents and fee to the licensing authority in the prescribed form.
