TERMINAL

• Send any AT, ST (OBDLink/STN) or OBD request, e.g. 0100, 010C, 03, 0902, ATDP, ATH1, ATSP0

• Automatic init on connect: ATZ, ATE0, ATL0, then ATI, AT@1, ATRV and STI to identify the adapter

• Color-coded log: sent commands in blue, responses in green, errors in red (?, NO DATA, UNABLE TO CONNECT, CAN ERROR…)

CLONE CHECK

Many cheap adapters report "ELM327 v1.5", a version Elm Electronics never released. Check clone sends up to 14 safe commands (read-only or RAM settings, never EEPROM writes) that each declared firmware version must support (v1.1 to v1.4b), then restores the adapter with ATZ. It reports missing commands and fake version numbers. Passing the check cannot prove an adapter is genuine.

REQUIREMENTS AND NOTES

• An ELM327-compatible OBD-II adapter (genuine ELM327, STN-based OBDLink or a compatible clone)

• A vehicle with an OBD-II/EOBD port (in most cases USA 1996+, EU petrol 2001+, EU diesel 2004+)

• ELM Terminal shows raw data; it does not decode PIDs automatically. Sending 04 clears emission-related trouble codes – use it with care.
