Ikue - Japanese Dictionary

Ikue is an open-source, offline, material design Japanese dictionary application that aims to be fast, intuitive, and lightweight.

All-In-One Search Bar

Universal search bar. You can search in any format you want: Japanese, Romaji, or English.

Word of the Day

See a new random word every day on the home screen. You can also share it with your friends.

Favourites

You can favourite entries to look back at later. You can view a list of all your favorites in the "Favorites" tab.

History

Entries you view are automatically added to your history. You can view these in the "History" tab.

Detailed Entry Information

You can see alternative readings, frequency information, dialect, field of use, and more.

Wildcard Search Support

The search has support for the 0 or many characters wildcard operator * and the ? operator for 1 exact character match. For example: 食* would get every word starting with the "食" character. 食? would get every wordthat starts with "食" and has exactly 1 following character.

No ads

This is a completely free, open-source application, with no strings attached.

No permissions needed

Absolutely no permissions are needed or used by the application. You can rest easy knowing the app isn't doing anything you don't know about!
