NOT A GOVERNMENT APP

Light Meter is an independent app made by Mobilia Apps. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by OSHA, the U.S. Department of Labor or any other government entity, and it does not represent a government entity. A phone camera is not a calibrated photometer, so a reading here is indicative and is never a compliance certification.

OFFICIAL SOURCES

The workplace reference levels come from the OSHA construction illumination standard 1926.56. Read the official text before relying on it: https://www.osha.gov/laws-regs/regulations/standardnumber/1926/1926.56

The IES levels are published by the Illuminating Engineering Society, which is a private standards body and not a government agency.
