4. One or both are not interested or only very little interested in studying Islam.

But the Muslims in the past were very different from the Muslims today. There are times when both, husband and wife, sit together with the same love for the knowledge of this religion. Those who are familiar with Islamic sciences will know that earlier scholars were so eager to travel for months just to get one hadith of the Prophet. For men like them, having a scholar's wife is one of the greatest gifts in this world and a source of appreciation and respect.
