n. 1675, Our Lord declares to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque,

gieuse of the order of the Visitation, in Paray-le-Monial:

"This is the heart that loved men so much that it spared nothing until

to exhaust himself and to burn himself to show them his love; and to recognize

I receive from the greater part only ingratitude, by contempt,

irreverence, sacrilege and coldness that they have for me in this Sacrament

of love. But, what's even more daunting is that these are hearts that

are devoted to me. That's why I'm asking you that the first Friday

according to the octave of the Blessed Sacrament is dedicated to a special holiday for ho-
