Twinstar: Mirror Comets is a one-touch endless reflex game built around a single, signature
idea: you steer two mirrored comets with one continuous input. Hold to pull
them toward the center axis. Release to drift them out toward the edges.
Thread the gaps in every gate. Survive long enough and the mirror symmetry
quietly breaks down — your two comets diverge.
Built for short, expressive runs.
GAME FEATURES
• One input, total control. Hold or release — that's the whole game.
• 10 unlockable planet skins. Reach each tier in any run to unlock its
comet permanently: Moon, Mercury, Mars, Venus, Earth, Neptune, Uranus,
Saturn, Jupiter, Sun.
• 10 dynamic palettes. The world paints itself in a different mood every
20 gates — Aurora, Seafoam, Emerald, Citrine, Amber, Coral, Rose,
Magenta, Lilac, Indigo.
• 60 fps motion on mid-range Android phones.
• Fully offline. No accounts, no logins, no friend lists. Plays in
airplane mode.
• Lightweight install, minimal permissions.
WHY ONE INPUT
The whole game is engineered around the moment a player understands their
control. You don't memorize buttons. You don't strafe or jump. You hold
or release. From that single decision the comets accelerate, decelerate,
and reflect each other through gates whose gaps narrow as the score
climbs.
DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
Twinstar was built in Godot 4 with a strict rule: no tutorial text, no
nag screens, no friction between you and the next attempt. Death-to-retry
is under one second. The visual palette and the comet skin you unlock
are the only progression — there is no level grind and no paywall.
